Jeremy Schoemaker’s Early Life
Jeremy Schoemaker was born on May 31st 1974 and was raised up in Moline, Illinois. He was the son of a teacher and a factory worker.
He had a normal life growing up and in his personal blog, he narrates that he was already weighing 300 pounds
by the age of 14 and this made him a magnet for all manner of insults. It also got him picked last for the various teams in his high school and the girls only wanted to be friends with him.
Jeremy Schoemaker’s first interaction with technology occurred in 1987 when his mother bought him an Apple computer. The 13 year old Jeremy Schoemaker would later use the computer to play video games and write a couple of programs. Generally speaking, it gave him a few minutes of peace, away from life’s challenges.
Despite being quite good with his Apple computer, Jeremy Schoemaker still didn’t know how to capitalize on his newfound passion for technology.
Jeremy Schoemaker Ventures Into Business
It was in 1995 after Jeremy Schoemaker had already graduated from high school and was selling appliances at Sears, when a lady one day strolled in and offered him a job at her Internet Service Provider (ISP) company. She had heard he was very good with computers and her offer came with a dollar more an hour than what he was currently making at the store.
After accepting to be part of the team, Jeremy Schoemaker headed over to his new job and it was there that he learned how to manage servers, develop security systems and write websites up from the ground.
He however left his job at the ISP company and decided to head back to school as he was still convinced that he needed a degree to advance in life.
It was while in college that Jeremy Schoemaker started his first business which involved making Macintosh gaming sites and instead of taking his finals, he was busy receiving calls from companies which wanted to spend their dollars to advertise on his sites.
After realizing that he could get paid doing what he loved, Jeremy Schoemaker jumped all in but his luck was short lived thanks to the dotcom crash which resulted in him spending his last dime to clear web hosting bills.
He was now back to the “real world” where he worked for different banks and other big corporations though none of these jobs ever ended well; he was fired from each one of them.
Jeremy Schoemaker soon found himself overweight (about 420 lbs.), $50k in debt, smoking two packs of cigarettes every day and sleeping on his friend’s couch at the age of 28.
It was after feeling he was okay living life on a small scale that Jeremy Schoemaker met a lady who changed his life for the better. She by then was working very hard to become an anesthesiologist, and her work ethics combined with the fact that she had sent herself to school, helped open Schoemaker’s eyes to the fact that one can indeed get whatever it is they want, so long as they’re willing to work for it (They later on married and have two beautiful daughters).
After deciding to go for it and make things happen, Jeremy Schoemaker started his own business in 2003. He built and managed his blog (ShoeMoney.com) and took his ringtone community company, Next Pimp, a notch higher.
It was also in the same year that Jeremy Schoemaker lost over 200 pounds through surgery. He started making more money online in one month than he’d ever made throughout his ten-year career.
Jeremy Schoemaker The Enterperneur And Online Marketer
In March 2007, Jeremy Schoemaker together with his business partner David Dellanave, launched AuctionAds; an eBay affiliate marketing service that serves eBay auction ads on contextually relevant sites.
Their company won multiple awards and after a couple of months, marketing company Media Whiz, purchased a majority stake in AuctionAds.
