Top 10 Highest Paid CEO’s In The World
A while back Forbes came up with a detailed list of the highest paid CEO’s and so today I thought of coming up with my own list of some of the Highest Paid CEO’s in the world. Although Forbes came up with a list of the 498 highest paid CEO’s, I’ll only focus on the upper 2% so this means we’ll only be looking at the Top 10 Highest Paid CEO’s.
Before we get started, let me first say that what some of these highest paid CEO’s earn makes the pay of many others professionals seem like peanuts i.e. if you compare what the highest paid CEO’s earn and the top pay of the highest paying jobs we looked at a while back, you’ll see exactly what I mean e.g. John H Hammergren who tops our list as the highest paid CEO with an annual pay of $131.19 million can very comfortably employ more than 150 Neurosurgeons with a top pay of $643,000 or more than 500 Actuaries with a top pay of $208,000. I think celebrities are among the very few who can at least try to compete with some of
these executives whose pay at times infuriates even their loyal employees.

Things To Note Concerning The Top 10 Highest Paid CEO’s
I would be pulling your leg if I finished off without saying how majority of these highest paid CEO’s/Top 10 Highest Paid CEOs make their enormous paychecks, so here goes:
- Some of these highest paid CEO’s exercise their stock options so as to make the millions of dollars they earn so don’t think that they get a paycheck from their companies worth all those millions e.g. John Hammergren who’s the highest paid CEO received $6.3 million in salary and bonus and an extra $112 million from the exercise of his vested stock options.
- As with every other numerical data, the above pay of the top 10 highest paid CEO’s are merely just estimates aimed at giving you an approximate value of what some CEO’s take home.
