7 Steps On How To Schedule A Post In WordPress

Scheduling posts can be a great relief especially to bloggers who might be too busy to manually publish posts in person and I’ll today be taking you guys through how to schedule a post in WordPress so that your blog remains updated with fresh content even when you’re “miles” away from your computer e.g. in a vacation, or just caught up in one of your other duties.

It would be good to mention that I have personally used (and still use) the WordPress post scheduling feature to auto publish posts whenever I see signs of being too preoccupied to manually publish them and I must say it has really saved me a lot of inconveniences e.g. knowing how to schedule a post in WordPress has allowed me to attend to other important matters without failing to publish a new blog post.

1. Log into your WordPress admin account. You can do this by copying/typing; http://your-blog’s-name.com/wp-login.php (It’s quite easy to master)

2. Once you’re logged in, select the “Add New Post” option so that it takes you to your post editor panel

3. Write a new post just as you normally would and work on it until you are certain it’s ready to be published

4. After you are 100% certain that your post is ready to be published (i.e. your On Page SEO is taken care off), proceed to the location when you’ve always clicked on the “Publish” button BUT don’t click on it, just make sure you are there. The diagram below illustrates what I mean.

5. Now click on the “Edit” option next to the “Publish Immediately” option which is just above the “Publish” button. The diagram below illustrates what I mean.

6. There should then be a drop down menu which should give you the option of when you would like to schedule your post for publishing i.e. the month, date, year and the time. The diagram below illustrates what I mean.

7. After you’re done scheduling when you would like your post to be published, just click on the “OK” button then on the “Schedule” button and you’re done; it’s that easy! The diagram below illustrates what I mean (I’ve scheduled the post to be published the next day)
