Last Word On The 8 UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) That Every Entrepreneur Should Know

Each of the above 8 UN millennium development goals has got its own specific targets as well as a timeline by when it ought to be achieved.

To accelerate all these developments, the G8 Finance Ministers in June 2005 agreed to provide funds to the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) so as to cancel the debts owed by members of the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) which range from $40 to $55 Billion.

The move by the G8 Finance Ministers was to allow such countries to re-channel their resources now saved from the canceled foreign debts to more productive activities which in the end will help them achieve the 8 UN millennium development goals e.g. Social programs aimed at improving healthcare and education systems.
