4. Facebook’s third and newest data center will be located 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle in Lulea near hydropower stations that generate twice as much electricity as the Hoover Dam that is located on the Nevada-Arizona border.

This will see the Facebook servers kept cool throughout the year with minimal power requirements.

The Lulea plant will be completed by 2014 and will consume 120 MW of energy which will be fully derived from the hydropower station.
