3. Facebook’s third data center and the first outside the US will host the Facebook servers in the Northern Swedish city of Lulea in three 300,000 square feet server buildings.

Facebook chose Lulea because of the intense cold that will itself help cool the servers and other computer components for about 8 months in a year while the heat from the server racks will aid in warming up the offices at the plant.

This move will result in Facebook running faster for users across Europe.
