Who Is An Internet Entrepreneur And What Is Online Entrepreneurship All About?

Last time we looked at who is an Entrepreneur and what Entrepreneurship is all about, so this time we will focus on who is an internet entrepreneur and what online entrepreneurship is all about.

If you read the previous article, then this one will be very easy to put the pieces together since I’ll simply translate that information into an internet description BUT if you didn’t get a chance to go through it then it would be great if you did.

So, Who Is An Internet Entrepreneur                                                    

An Internet Entrepreneur is a person who is able to identify an opportunity in the online world to come up with a new internet business or to transform an existing internet business in order to earn a profit.

This simply means that an internet entrepreneur is a business AND profit minded individual whose main interests are centered on establishing and running an online business. This also means that if you have an online business then you automatically qualify to be called an internet entrepreneur but if you only have an idea about one day starting an online business, then you’re a potential internet entrepreneur BUT you need to be careful not to become what I would call a procrastinate internet entrepreneur because tomorrow never comes.

And What Is Online Entrepreneurship?                          

Online Entrepreneurship is the process of identifying an opportunity in the online world and gathering or organizing the necessary business resources to be able to start and run an internet business.

This simply means that online entrepreneurship involves identifying a gap in the online world AND capitalizing on it by filling it up with what is required by the internet market. In other words, online entrepreneurship is primarily about providing a supply for the demand in the internet e.g. if a sizeable number of people want information on how to start and grow a home business, then you can take advantage of this and come up with a consulting service whereby you reach out to interested clients and help them start their own home businesses.

Breakdown Of Who Is An Internet Entrepreneur And What Online Entrepreneurship Is All About

I think it’s now safe to say that:

• An Internet Entrepreneur=An online business and profit minded person +Identified internet business opportunity+ Taking action

• Online Entrepreneurship =An online business and profit minded person + Identifying an internet business opportunity+ Taking action (Process)

From the above, I think it’s pretty clear that online entrepreneurship is all about taking action on an internet oriented business idea to come up with an efficient online business. On the other hand, as much as it might be commendable to plan on starting or venturing into online entrepreneurship, the rubber meets the road only when you actually take action and condense your ideas and dreams into realities. If you continue rescheduling your ideas, then there’s a very high probability that you risk them becoming only wishful thinking.
