Top 100 Most Followed People On Twitter

I know i haven’t updated the blog for a couple of days as i have been a bit busy preparing for my graduation that took place yesterday in JKUAT though that will be a post for another day but for today we shall take a look at a post that i drafted on Tuesday that entails the 100 most followed people on twitter, a good number being celebrity singers like Lady Gaga who tops the list. Just to show you the social influence that the above people have, Justin Bieber asked his followers on 15th (a Friday) to follow Matt Lauer the host of NBC’s The Today Show who had so far posted only three tweets and the result was Lauer getting more than 40,000 followers within 15 minutes and to date Lauer has a total of 145,763 followers with a total of 6 tweets the last being “Bieber’s power!”.

A good number of these celebrities also make thousands of dollars just by promoting certain companies like Toyota or Best Buy and below is a brief list of some of them;

• Kim Kardashian: $10,000 per tweet for companies like Shoedazzle.com.
• Snoop Dogg: $8,000 per tweet.
• Paula Abdul: $5,000 per tweet.
• Whitney Port: $2,500 per tweet.
• Charlie Sheen: $50,000 per tweet for companies like Internships.com.

I think Scopegater could also use a bit of that B power to increase its twitter followers……(^_^)
