One of the main reasons most Kenyan and international bloggers don’t succeed and give up too soon is because they try to copy other bloggers; top bloggers in the industry. The risky thing about copying someone else idea is that you’ll be trying to fit into shoes that aren’t yours and you’ll be fighting a battle that’s not yours. Just the way there are different professions in the world, there are also different types of bloggers within the blogging world with some blogging about music, lifestyle, business, making money, cooking, computers, technology, e.t.c. You cannot replicate what another blogger has put up and expect the same results or catch a large following. You need to come up with your own style of writing that people will appreciate and not try to beat up yourself copying someone else’s ideas; you’ll be fighting a losing battle. The best way to start a blog that will capture a large audience of readers in Kenya or elsewhere is by blogging about what you are passionate about. Blogging about what you’re passionate about will give you an upper hand in that you will already have in-depth knowledge of the subject at hand and majority of blog readers are always after someone who knows what they are talking about than one who is beating about the bush. Remember, originality is the key when it comes to blogging be it in Kenya or any other country in the world.
