In a past episode of Nateland Podcast, Nate Bargatze wife shared how the Little Mermaid soundtrack made her become more attracted to him and hence brought them together.
Here’s what she said:
We were friends at Applebee’s and everyone was going out because it’s Applebee’s, you go out after work, and so we had gone out after work, just friends, you know, maybe like, “He’s cute”, whatever.
But, he put in the Little Mermaid soundtrack and told his friends to like, “Shush, shush. I’m listening to this song.”
And I was like, “If anyone could put in Little Mermaid soundtrack and shush a bunch of twenty-year-olds, you know, twenty-plus-year-olds, to be quiet while he sings it, I thought that was like totally confident.
And like you’re your own person, these people don’t tell you what to do. I thought that was cool.
Well I mean, not “cool” like cute cool. Yeah….it was so uncool that it was cool.
They dated for a while and then took the big step to get married on 13th October 2006.
Nate has joked in the past about how he and his wife Laura had an easy time getting a wedding venue since most of the venues were not busy on that particular day given how the number 13th is perceived by many to be bad luck.
Laura has been Nate Bargatze wife even before he became famous and she has put her marketing expertise to good use in helping to grow the Bargatze Company, which is a business she and her husband own and run together.
The couple welcomed their first child and daughter Harper Bargatze on July 8, 2012.
