How I Got My AdSense Account Application Accepted After It Was Rejected
Last time we looked at the 3 Steps On How To Sign Up For A Google AdSense Account and I finished off by saying I would spill the beans on how I got my AdSense Account application accepted after it was rejected the first time, so that’s what we’ll be looking at today.
Before we get started, let me first mention that I didn’t bribe anyone, pay for anything nor use any “Magical System” to get my AdSense account application accepted after it had been rejected the first time so don’t be fooled by “gurus” who try to sell you crappy “Magical Systems” with the promise that they will get your AdSense Account Application accepted, it just doesn’t work like that and I’ll prove it!
How I Got My AdSense Account Application Accepted After It Was Rejected The First Time
I applied for my AdSense Account about 2 months after I started this blog (roughly 9 months ago) and I really didn’t expect to be turned down since I wasn’t using any black hat techniques for generating traffic or for SEO. I had already published 39 awesome posts at the time of applying for my AdSense Account and so I was a bit confident that I had enough content to monetize upon but little did I know what “surprise” Google had in store for me but hey, that’s just life being life.
After I had sent my very first AdSense Account application, I got an email from the Google AdSense team welcoming me to AdSense (You can imagine how thrilled I was) and below is an extract of that email:
"Welcome to AdSense!
We have completed a partial review of your application, but you may begin implementing AdSense code on your site. However, you’ll not begin to see live ads on www.scopegater.com until we have fully completed our review of your site. Instead, you’ll see only blank ads, which blend in with the background of your site.
We cannot complete our review of your application until you have placed the AdSense code on your site and are sending us ad requests. Once we have completed our review, your application will be fully approved or disapproved. If approved, you’ll begin to see live ads.
Please note as soon as ads start appearing on your site, we’ll continuously review your account for compliance with our policies. If any violations are detected, ad serving to your pages may be stopped or your account may be disapproved. If at any time you are not seeing ads appear, we recommend you log into your AdSense account and examine any alerts that may appear".
And then they dropped the bombshell on me……
Three days after getting the above email and being optimistic about seeing live AdSense Ads on my blog, I got another email from the Google AdSense team informing me that my AdSense account application had been rejected and below is an extract of that email:
"Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into Google
AdSense at this time.
We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.
Issues:
- Page type
---------------------
Further detail:
Page type: Your website is a type of website that we do not currently
accept into our program. Such websites include, but are not limited to,
chat sites, sites that drive traffic through cybersquatting, and sites
that use excessive keywords in the content or code of their pages".
NB: I still had 39 awesome posts published on my blog when I got the above email from the Google AdSense team
After I digested the above shattering information, I did what anyone in my shoes would do and that’s to research on what a Page Type means now that my site wasn’t a chat site and I didn’t drive traffic through cybersquatting (Heck I didn’t even know what that meant) and nor was I using excessive keywords in the content or code of my site’s pages (At the time I didn’t even know anything much to do with keywords like I do today, I just used to write)
Although I got to know what a Page Type meant, I decided to move on and work on my blog to “try and improve my page type” though honestly speaking I was looking for other Google AdSense alternatives.
I finally got another email from the Google AdSense team 2 weeks after they had declined accepting my AdSense Account application and in that email they asked me to complete my AdSense account application by placing an AdSense ad code on my site. Below is a short extract of that email:
"Hi,
We noticed that your AdSense application is still pending review, as you haven’t yet placed AdSense ad code on your site. Please note that until you create your first ad unit and place it on your site, we’ll be unable to finish our review of your site and application.
Once you’ve completed this required step, we’ll proceed with the review process and let you know whether your application has been fully approved or disapproved".
NB: I had 45 awesome posts published on my blog when I got the above email from the Google AdSense team.
At this point I wasn’t very optimistic about the latest email that the Google AdSense team had sent me since I had read online how hard it had been for some people to get their AdSense account applications accepted so I lazily created an AdSense Ad code and placed it on my site and Voilà! After about 10 days I begun to see live AdSense Ads on my blog and I also got an email from the Google AdSense team whose extract reads:
"Welcome to AdSense!
We have completed a partial review of your application, but you may begin implementing AdSense code on your site. However, you’ll not begin to see live ads on www.scopegater.com until we have fully completed our review of your site. If any violations are detected, ad serving to your pages may be stopped or your account may be disapproved. If at any time you are not seeing ads appear, we recommend you log into your AdSense account and examine any alerts that may appear".
NB: I had 49 awesome posts published on my blog when I got the above email from the Google AdSense team.
And that’s pretty much the story of how I got my Google AdSense Account Application accepted after it was rejected the first time.
I know that there are many bloggers around the world who apply for Google AdSense accounts every single day though sadly enough some of them get their Adsense applications rejected and not just once like me but many other times over that and I understand that at times one may want to give up but I’d like to encourage you to look at what you might be doing wrong e.g. the layout of your website, and keep on trying and even as you await your Google AdSense account application to be accepted, it would be a good idea to use Google AdSense alternatives to boost the income of your blog or website e.g. Infolinks would be a great place to start.
NB: You can try to have at least 45-49 posts published on your blog before applying for an AdSense account since that’s when I got emails from the Google AdSense team encouraging me to set up AdSense ad codes on my blog plus the email welcoming me into AdSense though I’m not promising it will work.
Let us know what you think of how I got my Google AdSense account accepted after it was rejected the first time, we’d be glad to hear from you!
I am very happy if any blogger can rise again once again slumped, and gain confidence in blogging
Hi Jav, it’s always good to KMF-Keep Moving Forward
Aw, this was an exceptionally good post. Finding the
time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I
say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t manage to get anything done.
The amount you’ll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience’s interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.^

That’s very true Ricky. I’ll definitely visit your site.
Google launched its AdSense program in March 2003 and made it public in June of that year. Some advertisers complained that AdSense yielded worse results than AdWords, since it served ads that related contextually to the content on a web page and that content was less likely to be related to a user’s commercial desires than search results. For example, someone browsing a blog dedicated to flowers was less likely to be interested in ordering flowers than someone searching for terms related to flowers. As a result, in 2004 Google allowed its advertisers to opt out of the AdSense network.’::^

I will be honest – I ditched ClickBank and AdSense altogether from my blog….reason being there are too many merchants who’s products and services either get banned or leave ClickBank and as for AdSense, it gives visitors to your website another route to click and leave your site. If you have affiliate programs and products already on your site, you are guaranteed to make more money with them than through AdSense, unless your are driving some serious traffic. As for InfoLinks, it just looks spammy and the keywords and ads that appear are not targeted most the time. I personally say just do away with ads and ad networks and focus on affiliate programs to monetize your blog that have one or few solid products to offer, because like I mentioned, you will make more money that way.
