Get Some Balls
There’s a story that is told about a man who died (For the purpose of my story I will name him Mr. X) and went to heaven. While there, Mr. X asked St. Peter who was the greatest army general of all time since he had always been interested in such maters while still alive and had held several arguments with his friends regarding who was the greatest army general of all time.
As fate would have it, St. Peter led Mr. X to a man who was standing a few meters away and said pointing at him, “There he is, the greatest army general of all time”. Mr. X just stood there shaken with a mixture of disbelief and anger and all he could say was “I’m really serious over here, I really want to know who was the greatest army general of all time, that man was just a casual beggar who used to bother me a lot whenever I came out of the house or went back in and to add more pain to the injury, he was always dirty, smelly and unkempt!”
St. Peter just smiled and said “Had he tried to enroll for the army, he would have been the greatest army general of all time”
The lesson here ladies and gentlemen is that there’s no book to success in life that has everything in detail concerning what to do and when to do it, life is rather an adventure for all of us and for those who have the BALLS to take risks even though circumstances might not favor them, they will at the day’s end find their true calling and purpose in life and as such, they will attract not just success but happiness in their lives.
Living inside an imaginary cocoon thinking “What will they think?” will see you live in mediocrity for the rest of your life simply because you opted to put other people’s opinion before your own opinion about yourself. Madness is usually described as doing something the very same way expecting different results so my question this day is, “Are you mad?” If you are, then I believe it’s time to grow some BALLS and come out of your comfort zone and confront the world because if you don’t, no one else will do that for you.
You’ll continue staying in the same circumstance and situation year after year hoping that someday something good will happen or your prayers will be heard and this is the worst lie you could ever tell yourself. Terms like “I wish I had opportunities like….. Or I wish I had……. Or I wonder how…….”will be the order of the day.
I’ll be quite frank and tell you all that is void talk; you’re either in or out, sitting at the fence is and shouldn’t be an option. If the grass is greener on the other side, try watering yours.
My best advice to anyone thinking “I wonder what I’m good at or I wish……. Or I wonder what it feels to…..” and other similar terms is to GROW SOME BALLS and get your hands dirty or else, you’ll never know what your purpose in life really is. Remember that waking up with no plans for your day means that you’ll be in someone else’s plans and guess what they have in store for you? Nothing Much!
So decide this very day to always take a chance even when things seem tight because there’s always a way out for those who have the will to succeed. Remember than nobody was born a pro in life, they just took risks backed up by confidence and determination, so it’s your time to also GROW SOME BALLS, they don’t have to be made of steel but so long as you have them, that’s all that really matters, the rest is AOB.
BALLS AREN’T BOUGHT, THEY’RE GROWN
