8 Common Symptoms of a Heart Attack in Women
These 8 symptoms of a heart attack in women are taken from a study that was conducted in 2003 and published in Circulation (Aha Journals)
Participants were 515 women who had experienced a heart attack.
1. Chest pain
The most common symptom of a heart attack in both men and women is chest pain or discomfort.Â
It may be described as tightness, squeezing, pressure or aching sensations.Â
However, women can experience a heart attack without experiencing any chest pain or discomfort.
29.7% of women surveyed in the study revealed they had experienced chest discomfort just before having a heart attack. And 57% had chest pain during the heart attack.
